Kris Bryant injury update: Cubs third baseman goes back on DL with shoulder inflammation

Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has been placed on the Ricky Vaughn Jersey disabled list for the second time in just over a month with a left shoulder injury.The move is retroactive to Tuesday as Bryant recovers from shoulder inflammation and the Cubs have recalled infielder David Bote from Triple-A Iowa, whowas in the lineup at second base, the team announced Thursday. He has started in nine games since coming off the DL, but aggravated his shoulder on a swing Monday against the Michael Brantley Jersey Diamondbacks.Bryant is batting .276 with 11 home runs and 44 RBIs this season.
